Rural Health Training Centre, Sangenthi:
Sangenthi is a Village in Pullambadi Block in Tiruchirappalli District of Tamil Nadu State, India. It is located 31 KM towards East from District head quarters Tiruchirapalli. Lalgudi , Tiruchirappalli , Thanjavur , Nanjikottai are the nearby town to Sangenthi. This Place is in the border of the Tiruchirappalli District and Ariyalur District. The Rural Health Training Centre has been functioning from 12/12/14 in Sangenthi and is located about 24 kms from our institution. The population under service area of this centre is around 21,837 and the centre covers other villages like P.Sangenthi N.Sangenthi, Ramanathapuram, Iruthiyapuram and Vellanur. The centre is equipped with basic medical facilities and laboratory services. The care provided is free of cost. It is run by a team of Medical officers, CRRIs, social workers and other field staffs in the Department of Community Medicine. The centre is also rendering 24×7 medical & emergency services.
Urban Health Training Centre, Samayapuram:
Samayapuram is a suburb of the city of Tiruchirappalli which is located 12 kms north from the heart of the city on the Trichy-Chennai road. It comes under Manachanallur Taluk and includes S.Kannanur and Inam Samayapuram Panchayats. The Urban Health Training Centre has been functioning from 27/01/10 and is located about 5 kms from our institution. The centre is rendering 24×7 medical & emergency services for the people with free of cost. It also provides specialization outpatient services in 5 days per week of Departments of Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and ENT. The centre covers a population of around 17,563. It serves as a major centre for students field activities, world health days celebrations, awareness campaigns, outreach camps, students ICMR projects and CRRIs research.
